JSW Steel reduces output, commences iron ore mining
JSW Steel’s crude steel output dropped -30% on-year in the first fiscal quarter through June (FQ1) to 2.96 million tonnes. This meant a capacity utilisation of 76%, primarily due to reduced output at Vijayanagar Works.
Flat steel output in FQ1 fell -30% to 2.05mt and longs production dropped -57% to 450,000t.
