JSW Steel ramps up production further
JSW Steel ramped up capacity utilisation to 83% in July from 76% in June, producing 1.25 million tonnes of crude steel, up 9% from the previous month, Kallanish notes.
Longs products output surged 46% from June to 240,000t, while flats production rose 17% to 940,000t.
Compared to July 2019, however, crude steel and longs production still fell -5% and -24% respectively, but flats output grew 4%.
