JSW Steel output slumps on shutdown, monsoon effect
JSW Steel reported a -13% on-year slump each in crude steel and flat steel production in August to 1.25 million tonnes and 851,000t respectively. Longs output dropped -5% to 305,000t.
The reduced output was due to the planned shutdown of the Vijayanagar steelworks and a severe monsoon impact at the Dolvi works.
