JSW Steel longs output surges in October
JSW Steel reported a 34% on-year surge in long steel production in October to 346,000 tonnes, while flats output grew 3% to 1.01 million tonnes. Crude steel production was up 8% to 1.45mt.
Last month the steelmaker said strong infrastructure spending is driving increased gross fixed capital formation in India, while consumer demand continues to drive vehicle production and consumer durable volumes (see Kallanish passim).
