JSW Steel grows flats output, improves utilisation
JSW Steel grew flat steel production by 6% on-year in November to 961,000 tonnes, but longs output fell -1% to 295,000t. Crude steel output rose 3% to 1.33 million tonnes, giving capacity utilisation of 89%.
JSW Steel said last week it is in the process of acquiring land at Jagatsinghpur, Odisha where it has proposed to set up a 13.2 million tonnes/year capacity greenfield steel plant (see Kallanish passim).
