JSW Steel divests Georgia joint venture stake
JSW Steel has entered into an agreement to sell 39% of its 49% stake in joint venture Geo Steel to JV partner Georgian Steel Group Holdings. The $23.1 million sale is scheduled for completion by end-January. The Indian steelmaker will retain a 10% share in the Rustavi-based long products mill.
Geo Steel is an electric arc furnace-based producer of 130mm square billet billet for rolling into 215,000 tonnes/year of 8-32mm diameter rebar and 150,000 t/y of wire rod. …
