JSW seeks emergency state funding to battle pandemic
Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa (JSW) has applied for up to PLN 1.75 billion ($443.7 million) in emergency funding from Poland’s contingency fund to help it combat the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic.
JSW saw coal output drop by 1.23 million tonnes between 23 March and end-June compared to initial guidance, as a result of Covid-19-related disruptions. Of the total, 960,000t was coking coal.
