JSW longs output surges, oxygen diversion continues
JSW Steel’s crude steel production grew 10% on-year in May to 1.37 million tonnes, with flat products output rising by the same rate to 999,000t. However, longs output surged 55% to 309,000t.
The firm’s capacity utilisation remained at 91% in May as liquid oxygen supply for medical purposes exceeded 30,000t versus 20,000t in April, the Indian steelmaker says in a note seen by Kallanish.
