JSW increases utilisation further, longs output slumps on-year
JSW Steel’s long steel output slumped -20% on-year in August to 232,000 tonnes. However, flat products output was up 15% to 980,000t. Crude steel output rose 5% to 1.32 million tonnes. Average capacity utilisation ramped up to 88% from 83% in July.
Compared to July, flats and longs output rose 4% and fell -3% respectively. Crude steel output grew 6%.
