JSPL sets another new export record
Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL) recorded its highest-ever monthly standalone steel sales of 640,000 tonnes in May, up 28% on-year. Of the overall sales, 401,000t were exports, beating the previous monthly export record set in April of 248,000t.
Consolidated steel sales, including its Oman-based Jindal Shadeed steelworks, rose 26% in May to 797,000t. Consolidated steel production was 620,000t.
Output of iron ore pellet, meanwhile, was 647,000t in May.
