Jordanian steel imports down 47% in September
Jordanian iron and steel imports declined -47% on-year in September 2015 to JD 33.02 million ($46.6m), Kallanish learns from Central Bank of Jordan data. Compared with the previous month they plunged -52%. EU-origin imports in September, however, surged 88% on-year to JD 2.38m.
January-September iron and steel imports thus fell by -14% on-year to JD 347.73m. Imports from China, however, soared 48% to JD 129m, while those from Iran were up to JD 64.3m from JD 4.5…
