Longxin Carbon pushes on with graphite electrode project
Longxin Carbon Company in Jixi in China’s Heilongjiang province is progressing well with its graphite electrode upgrade project, according to local media reports.
With investment of CNY 510 million ($72.45 million), the project is expected to produce 30,000 tonnes/year of graphite electrodes, 5,000 t/y of high-purity graphite and 100,000 graphite crucibles annually. It plans to invest CNY 100 million in completing workshops in 2019, Kallanish notes.
