Jinnan Steel ignites new blast furnace
Shanxi Jinnan Steel has ignited a 1,860m³ blast furnace at the site of its second phase Quwo project, which will have 1.58 million tonnes/year of molten iron capacity, Kallanish reports.
In order to build the largest section steel production base in midwest China, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shanxi initiated a plan in 2020 and this project has been the focus since then.
