Jinhong Steel starts EAF construction
China’s Xuzhou Jinhong Iron & Steel Group has this week started the construction of its electric arc furnace upgrade project, Kallanish notes.
The company plans to build a 130-tonne Consteel EAF to replace its existing 100t EAF. In addition, the new EAF will be equipped with three refining furnaces, one slab caster and one billet caster.
