Jingye Group acquires Yuebei Steel
Hebei-headquartered steelmaker Jingye Group signed a contract with Northern Guangdong United Steel (Yuebei Steel) on Tuesday morning to acquire the company, Kallanish notes.
The deal sparked dissatisfaction among some market participants, as Jingye Group in July had issued pessimistic expectations for the industry in the coming five years. Now, one of the steel mills that has encountered difficulties is being taken over by Jingye.
