Jindal Shadeed reduces June-quarter output amid margin squeeze
Jindal Shadeed reported a -9% on-year drop in crude steel production in the first fiscal quarter through June (FQ1) to 390,000 tonnes, according to Indian parent company Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL). Rebar production reached 240,000t.
Oman-based Shadeed’s steel sales were practically flat on-year in FQ1 at 410,000t, suggesting a sizeable portion were billet shipments.
