Jinchuan produces nickel flat products
China's Jinchuan Group in Gansu Province successfully produced pure nickel sheet in coil last week, Kallanish notes from the company's newsletter.
The product is characterised by a width of 1,250mm, filling a gap in the Chinese market. Jinchuan initially produced two coils, each of 8 tonnes. This pure nickel flat product is mainly used in the chlor-alkali chemical industry and can replace products imported from Japan.
