Jinan Steel merges with Hebei Xinghua Steel
China’s Hebei Jinan Steel Group has effectively merged with Xinghua Iron & Steel Co, as Wang Shuhua, chairman of Jinan Steel, now holds a 100% stake in Xinghua Steel, Kallanish notes.
Jinan Steel says the acquisition was completed in the context of the industrial plan of the Handan city municipal government. Wang personally began to invest in Xinghua Steel in May 2020, two months after the plan was first raised.
