Jilin Ferroalloys starts second-phase construction
Jilin Ferroalloys Company (Jitie) in northern China has started construction of its second-phase ferroalloy base in Inner Mongolia, Kallanish notes.
The second-phase project will see 2 million tonnes/year of ferroalloy capacity with a total investment of CNY 6 billion ($847 million). It will add another 17 furnaces, and will build a 200kV substation to ensure stable power supply.
