Jiangsu Hongtai shuts down EAF
Eastern China’s Jiangsu Hongtai Iron & Steel has shut down one 60-tonne electric arc furnace and cut its water and electricity supplies, according to the provincial Development & Reform Commission. In an announcement the company confirms that it will never restart the equipment and will completely remove it in January 2018, Kallanish notes.
