Jiangsu Delong hot tests slab caster
Eastern Chinese stainless steelmaker Jiangsu Delong Nickel produced on 17 November its first test slab from a new caster, according to China MCC20 Group, part of China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC). The plant also recently began work on new rolling capacity, Kallanish notes.
The slab was cast by the first of two new single strand casters with a combined capacity of 300,000 tonnes/year. They will produce 1,600x220mm stainless steel slabs.
