Jiangsu Binxin receives BF upgrade approvals
China’s Jiangsu Binxin Iron & Steel has received environmental approvals for the upgrade of its new No.1 blast furnace, which had been commissioned illegally in December 2020, Kallanish notes.
Binxin Steel plans to relocate and upgrade the 1,080 cubic metres new No.1 BF to 1,250cum with 1.15 million tonnes/year of iron capacity. Simultaneously, the existing No.2 1,080cum BF will be dismantled.
