Jianbang Group commissions pig iron plant in Pakistan
A joint venture steel mill of China's Jianbang Group and Pakistani Consortium, Pak China Steel, has been commissioned at Port Qasim in Pakistan. This is also the first pig iron plant in the area. Prior to this, local demand for pig iron was met by imports and scrap supply came from the local shipbreaking industry, Kallanish notes.
