Ji'an Steel gains environmental permit for EAF project
The Jiangxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has approved the environmental permit for the Ji'an Steel electric arc furnace project, Kallanish notes.
Ji'an Steel will build a 130-tonne EAF with 1 million tonnes/year of crude steel capacity. It is expected to produce 585,000 t/y of steel bar and 390,000 t/y of wire rod through one billet caster, one rebar rolling line and one wire rod line.
