JFE returns to profit, tightens CO2 reduction target

Major Japanese steelmaker JFE Group increased revenue in the nine months through December 2021 by 33.6% on-year to JPY 3.097 trillion ($26.8 billion). It also says it will deepen its CO2 reduction target by 2030. Nine-month profit was JPY 225.12 billion, compared with the JPY 67.21 billion loss in April-December 2020.
