JFE supplies green steel to Japanese shipyards
Japanese steelmaker JFE Steel said on Tuesday that it will supply green steel "JGreeX" to several shipbuilding companies.
Tugboats fitted with hydrogen co-combustion engines will be built by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding, using "JGreeX" green steel. The first supply is expected to start in September 2023, Kallanish learns from JFE.
