JFE seeks additional price hike from June
Japanese steel manufacturer JFE Steel has announced a further JPY 10,000/tonne ($75/t) price increase for all steel products, which applies to the company’s business partners including overseas buyers from this week, Kallanish notes.
The hike is mainly due to pass on soaring costs of raw materials. In May, the firm also asked for a price hike of JPY 30,000/t from the March quarter this year.
JFE does not disclose actual product prices after these increases.…
