JFE runs No.7 continuous caster in Kurashiki
Japan’s JFE Steel has started to operate the No.7 continuous casting plant at its West Japan Works (Kurashiki). Construction of the new caster started in November 2017, Kallanish notes.
With investment of JPY 53 million ($481,000), the new plant has a 2 million tonnes/year capacity of slab for thick and thin plate. It can process large-scale slab to plate with high efficiency.
