JFE to revamp Kurashiki works blast furnace

JFE Steel Corporation will revamp the No.4 blast furnace at its West Japan Works (Kurashiki). Work is scheduled to begin in September 2021, while the blow-in is anticipated in the second half of the fiscal year beginning in April 2021. The JPN 50 billion ($464.9 million) revamp will increase the BF's inner volume to 5,100m3 from the current 5,005m3.
