JFE reports profit slump despite revenue gains
Japan’s JFE Holdings, Inc. has reported sharp falls in profit for the fiscal year 2022 (FY22), ending on 31 March 2023. This was despite an increase in annual revenue, according to the company’s fiscal year report.
In FY22, the company’s consolidated crude steel production came to 25.48 million tonnes, down 6.5% year-on-year, Kallanish notes. Without announcing the number, sales volume was also reported to be lower.
