JFE reports lower quarterly profits, reduces annual forecasts
Japanese steelmaker JFE Holdings has announced operation and financial results through the third quarter of its fiscal year ending 31 March 2023 (FY22), or the fourth quarter of calendar year 2022.
In the reporting quarter, JFE reported 5.48 million tonnes of standalone crude steel output, which declined 15.6% year-on-year. This took three-quarter output to 18.12mt, a decrease of 5.58% y-o-y, Kallanish notes.
