JFE produces less, sells more in Q4

Japan's JFE produced less crude steel on-quarter in Q4 2023, the third quarter of its fiscal year, though output was up on-year. With higher selling prices, its steel business profits from April to December 2023 increased slightly on-year. JFE Steel produced 5.62 million tonnes of crude steel in October-December 2023, down 8.0% on-quarter but up 2.6% on-year according to JFE’s quarterly report on 6 February.
