Japan's steel exports jump 9.9% in February
Exports of Japanese steel products rose by 9.9% to 2.68 million tonnes in February, but this is still -9.1% lower than the same period last year, according to the preliminary data released by Japan's Ministry of Finance.
Thanks to the recovery of local steel demand, Japanese producers are more focused on domestic sales than a year ago, Kallanish notes.
