Japan’s first-quarter output, demand forecast to slip
Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) forecasts that both Japanese steel production and demand will trend lower in the first quarter. But crude steel output will post a small increase compared with the same period last year, Kallanish notes.
