Japan’s METI forecasts higher second-quarter steel output
Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) forecasts continued growth in national crude steel output in the second quarter of calendar-year 2023. Finished steel demand however may fall back slightly, Kallanish notes.
