Japan's January steel exports grow, imports down
Japan's carbon steel exports in January increased by 0.9% to 1.65 million tonnes compared to December 2020, despite lower steel production in the month. Meanwhile, carbon steel imports dropped slightly, Kallanish notes from the Japan Iron & Steel Federation (JISF).
