Japan's iron, crude steel output keep falling

Japan's steel production continued to decline on-month in April, and the year-on-year increase was mainly due to the low base last year, Kallanish notes. According to Japan Iron & Steel Federation (JISF) data, Japan's pig iron production in April was equal to only 92.9% of production in March, at 5.68 million tonnes.
