Japan’s auto production tumbles in first quarter
Japan’s automobile production tumbled in the first quarter on a year-on-year basis, despite March output rebounding on the prior month, according to statistics given by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA).
In the reporting month, a total of 710,389 vehicles were produced in Japan, Kallanish notes. The figure was up 15.2% over February but was down 18% on-year. All types of vehicles showed the same trend.
