Japanese steel output rises in May

Japan's crude steel and ordinary steel production both exhibited an upward trend in May, according to the latest data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF) this week. In May, Japan's crude steel production reached 7.168 million tonnes, a slight increase of 1.61% from April, but a 6.3% decrease from the same period last year.
