Japanese steel output rebounds in October

Japanese iron and steel production rose in October, benefiting from the recovery in manufacturing demand in the fourth quarter, Kallanish notes. According to data released by the Japan Iron & Steel Federation (JISF), Japan's crude steel output in October was 8.22 million tonnes, up by 1% on-month and 14.3% on-year.
