Japanese steel orders report losses in November
In November last year, Japanese steel orders dipped to their lowest in the fiscal year starting from April 2022 mainly due to slumping exports. The decline in year-to-date orders remained stable on previous months, Kallanish notes.
November orders excluding trade between reporting companies amounted to 4.545 million tonnes, down 7.7% month-on-month and 7.8% y-o-y, according to data released by the Japan Iron & Steel Federation (JISF).
