Japanese steel orders bottom out in September
Japanese ordinary steel product orders in September dropped slightly from the previous month, but the year-on-year rate of decline slowed, according to data released by the Japan Iron & Steel Federation (JISF).
September orders excluding trade between reporting companies amounted to 4.812 million tonnes, losing just 0.7% month-on-month and 2.5% y-o-y, Kallanish notes.
