Japanese steel exports fall further in April
Japan exported 3.21 million tonnes of steel in April, down -10.3% year-on-year, according to provisional data from Japan’s customs. Japan’s exports are facing a challenge from a more stable currency and competition from China, but have seen some growth in sales to Asia, Kallanish notes.
