Japanese steel demand to improve this quarter
Japan should see domestic steel consumption improve in the October-December quarter this year, according to a survey by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (Meti). A seasonal recovery in construction and solid exports to energy projects may sustain crude steel output levels, Kallanish notes.
