Japanese stainless steel imports soar in January-September
In the first nine months of 2017 Japanese stainless steel imports soared 27.5% while stainless steel exports dipped around -3.2% year-on-year, according to Japan's Customs. The stainless steel import growth was from China and South Korea, and the export dip was noticeable in most destination countries apart from the United States, Kallanish notes.
