Japanese stainless/special steels' trade increases in first quarter
Japan has seen its stainless steel exports and imports respectively increase by 3.1% and 3.5% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2017, according to Customs data (see tables below). The main import increase came from South Korea, while export growth was driven by China, the United States and Thailand, Kallanish notes.
