Japan Steel Works expects loss on nuclear slump
Japan Steel Works says it expects to report a net loss of JPY 4 billion ($36 million) for the financial year ending March 2017. It had earlier predicted it, like many other steelmakers, would return to profit, but it now expects to book a massive impairment charge on its nuclear products business, Kallanish notes.
