Japan stainless/special steel exports weaken in April
Japanese stainless steel imports and exports both decreased in April from March but still increased year-on-year, according to Japanese Customs. Over January to April Japanese special steel exports were still increasing, with China, the United States and Thailand the main contributors, but growth slowed from March, Kallanish notes.
