Japan shipbuilding giants reorganise
At the end of November, Japan's top two shipbuilding enterprises, Imabari Shipbuilding and Japan Marine United (JMU), announced they would reorganize through a stock transfer agreement, Kallanish notes.
According to the agreement, Imabari plans to purchase 30% of JMU and they will develop new technologies together. They also plan to set up a joint venture for designing, constructing and selling new vessels.
