Japan appeals to WTO over Chinese stainless duties
The Japanese government has filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO) over stainless steel anti-dumping duties implemented by China in July 2019, Kallanish notes.
Japan's trade and industry ministry says it has repeatedly asked China to remove the measure in bilateral talks. It claims the anti-dumping duties could be violating the WTO's General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, as well as anti-dumping agreements.
